Above three advertisements on how to make your belly flat and a diet ad, FOX News reports:

“Obesity can be “caught” as easily as a common cold from other people’s coughs, sneezes and dirty hands, scientists said Monday.”

The Fox article links to an article at the The Sun where headlines read:

“You ain’t fat, it’s just a tubby bug”

Scientists claim people can catch the obese-generating AD-36 virus from a cough or dirty hands like a cold.

The virus forces fat cells to multiply and also causes sore throats.

This new research supports theories from previous studies on weight gain.

US Professor Nikhil Dhurandhar said the virus enters the lungs then whisks around the body.

“When this virus goes to fat tissue it replicates … which may explain why people get fat when infected,” he says.

He further states: “People could be fat for reasons other than viral infections, so it’s pointless for fat people to try to avoid infection.”
