Setting Captives Free

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; ~Isaiah 61:1 (KJV)

Setting Captives Free is a non-denominational ministry based on the biblical principles of freedom in Jesus Christ.

Founder and President Mike Cleveland sought freedom from his habitual sins and found forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ in 1999. God changed Mike’s heart, and he learned the biblical solutions to repentance, forgiveness, and the newness of life that comes through the gospel.

The next year, he wrote an interactive course teaching the biblical principles of freedom in Christ, placed the course on the Internet, and more than 800 people visited the website that first day.

To keep up with the growing demands of the ministry, a mentorship program was developed, and the material was published in book format.

To date, nearly a quarter of a million people have gone through the biblical material either online or in book form. The online courses are free and offered in twelve languages.
