Award: Let’s Be Friends
Recovery Rocks! received the Lets Be Friends Award from Lily’s Gramma at My Heart Voice.
I especially appreciate receiving this award from her because Lily’s Gramma is someone I would actually like to be friends with. She is bright, insightful, and compassionate. She writes it real and doesn’t hide behind her monitor.
Thank you very much Lily’s Gramma!
The tradition of the Let’s Be Friends Award:
These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to those bloggers who must choose at least 5 more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
With that said, here are the friends I am passing this very sweet and heartfelt award to in random order:
Fatty Prejudice: This is Lily’s Gramma’s other blog where she daringly uses the F-word. She writes on a visceral level about how society views Fat. She’s straight-up and spot-on.
Sosborne: Mickey31 knows more about Sharon than Ozzie does! If you wanna know what this family is up to, check out this blog.
The Informer: I know more about milkin’ goats than I do celebrity gossip, but Mily Johnson is a gifted writer and when I read her posts, I get involved in her stories. She understands Hollywood and the press, and knows how to look at celebrities and their circumstances from different angles. Economize and save a tree. Don’t buy tabloids. Read The Informer.
Health and Beauty: Gazal is all about being girly-girl. Her blog reminds me to take good care of myself, both my body and my mind.
Rewards of Working From Home: Cindy23 knows how to make money working from home. Check out her blog to find current employment opportunities you might qualify for.
Iowa Hippie Chick: Iowa Hippie Chick blogs about frugality and simple living. Her blog inspires me to live thrift and offers realistic suggestions on how to economize.
Stitching Life Together: Sandycrochet is an amazing yarn artist who donates her creations to keep the homeless warm. Her blog inspires creativity and selfless giving.
There’s no pressure. If you aren’t into awards or don’t want to continue the chain, please accept the Let’s Be Friends Award in the spirit in which it is offered.
I dedicate this song to each of you:
Thanks again Lily’s Gramma!
