More from Dorothy L. of Womensselfesteem.com
In response to an interview with Dorothy L., founder and site manager of Womensselfesteem.com, Brad of Read Worthy News left this comment:
I think some men are also the reason for some women’s low self-esteem.”
Snip from my response:
If it’s “self” esteem, why do women give it away and let men have influence and power over it?”
Why do some women get stuck in abusive circumstances, yet others don’t?”
Dorothy L.’s response:
Hello…First I would like to thank all of you very kind people for taking the time to comment in regards to my interview.
Second..Roxie…thank you for allowing me a spot on your site…and a very good point you made about ones ’self’ esteem.
It is amazing how vulnerable a person becomes when they trust another and or fall in love. The put their emotions all in one basket and literally become blinded by the feeling of being loved and accepted. They do not even realize how much of them ’self’ they put at risk. Before they know it their ’self’ has been tricked, manipulated even crushed.
‘Love is like a drug’…a phrase that rings true in so many relationships.
People will sacrifice anything to get it or regain it.In a sense what Ben said is true.
There are men that are respectable and decent and then there are men that are manipulators and abusers. These type feed on women that are weak and desperate for love.
They are no different than a drug pusher that feeds on drug addicts or the pimp that feeds off the girl desperate for money to survive.
They will always seek out the weak. The real issue is choice.
We all have the capacity to chose right from wrong.
We all have the capacity to walk away from the negative elements.
WE all have the capacity to take responsibility for our actions.Once again, I thank you for your kind words.
ONWARD & UPWARD!
DorothyL.
